  It took me more than two months, but I finally figured out the game this office plays. I misinterpreted his intentions when he started off pulling 15 vials of blood... thinking wow, this guy is thorough. I could not have been further from the mark. After he tried to set me up with a number of tests that had ZERO to do with the purpose I was there, AND insisted (against my request) that I use the resources in his big huge medical mall (Health Star, Morristown TN) that I finally put two and two together. I will leave the interpretation of that to the reader ;-/ The main complaint I have is that, I went longer than two months thinking I had another cancer battle on my hands. This doctor even went as far as to put me in line for a radioactive iodine treatment (and the three weeks of staying off my REQUIRED meds) to "eradicate the missing thyroid tissue" he suspected was the issue. I completely changed up my life (and plans) accordingly, only to find out upon a second opinion with my last cancer specialist that there is ZERO indicators that point to cancer. My old specialist tried to get me a PET scan based on Mahmood's "findings" only to get turned down for lack of evidence. NICE!! How does a doctor get away with such practices? This man derailed my life for more than two months and upset my family for REASONS OF HIS OWN! THEN when trying to question this, I got the SAME results from three phone calls and two faxes, that the others who reviewed this man complained about. NO ONE EVER CALLS BACK. Monica DID call me back after TEN DAYS, but by then I GOT and ATTENDED an appt with my old specialist. It's not funny when you can GET and KEEP an appt with another physician QUICKER than getting a return call from your current provider. These people operate like a used appliance shop, not a doctors office. Then he told me I had depreciated kidney function, which was another [error]. My sugars were indeed high and he DID manage to get them down (the only GOOD thing he did for me) but then he didn't tell me that the kidney function test was NORMAL for someone my age, and then he left me on meds that together (in combination) would quickly ruin my kidneys. Good thing the pharmacist was ON IT. I am NOT going to let this rest... as I plan on filing with the governing agencies. At my age I have been seeing doctors for a LOT of years and never in my life have I witnessed/experienced such things. I wouldn't return to this office or establishment on a bet, and I would seriously suggest to anyone considering it to look a bit deeper into what folks are saying about this place.
